Technique Class #1

So how far behind am I? These are pictures of the projects we made last Wednesday and I was supposed to post it before class. Oops.

This first card uses the baby wipe technique to make your own multi-colored stamp pad.
Colors: Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, Marina Mist
Stamps: Printed Petals
Accessories: Square Lattice EF, Rhinestone Brad, Curly Label Punch, Scallop Edge Punch

This second card uses the embossed resist technique. After embossing your image clear, you sponge ink on top and the image appears.
Colors: So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Lovely Lilac
Stamps: Printed Petals, Swirls and Curls Verses

And this is the last project. A great way to keep your notebook from getting ruined in your purse. It's a really great gift. It uses the clear stamp cases and a jr. legal pad cut down to fit. It was so cute.

Page A Day in May 16

Yeah, so it's not May anymore, but this is the last page I finished for my challenge. No I didn't get 30 pages done, but 16 isn't bad. It's more than I did all of last year, so I pretty happy with it. I may need to challenge myself to a page a day in September. I really have some catching up to do.

I'm not in love with this page, it was much cuter in my head, but it's done and it's time to move on.

Where have I been?

I'm not sure anyone still reads this blog, but in case you come to visit and were wondering where I've been, I had a baby and that takes priority. I have been creating, just not posting. Hopefully, I have some more time to post the things I've been making. For now, we'll play catch up, starting with Mother's Day. I made these cards using the floating reinker technique that I taught at my last class. For instructions on how to do this technique, you can watch this video from this blog.

The other thing I made my mom was this necklace and ribbon flower. The video on how to make this flower can be found here. I love this flower and keep meaning to make one for myself. Haven't gotten around to it yet, but hopefully one day.

So, that's Mother's Day, and hopefully it won't be long until my next post.
