MDS Page a Day May 19

This page isn't completely finished. It's another layout from Heather Summer's class. I love the layout, but I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for, so I made it, and I'll finish it later. The journaling will go down the middle and the pictures will be circles on the right and left.

MDS Page a Day May 18

This is another layout from Heather Summers class. We were playing with the opacity of a picture when you have a patterned background. There are a couple of ways to work around it. One is adding a mat to the picture and one is to put a punch behind the picture. The font is Calvin and Hobbes, just perfect for this fun layout of my oldest son when he was 2.

MDS Page A Day May 17

It's late and I don't have much to say about this one. I love the photos I took this day and will probably add another page to make this a double layout. Enjoy.

MDS Page a Day May 15&16

We've been sick for a while at our house, so I getting even more behind. So I'm cheating again and calling this two pages, one for each kid. This was another layout from Heather Summers. I really liked the layout, but wasn't sure I had pictures that would fit. I found these, that I might not have scrapped, but decided that I would try it out. I had to fudge things a little to make it work, but I like how it turned out. I'm also trying to step out of my comfort zone with the colors I choose. I tend to pick bright colors, so I tried this gray and green color combo. Not too bad.

Page A Day May 13 & 14

Isn't this page cute. It took a while to make and it is going into both boys albums, and I'm a little behind in my goal so this page counts for two days. The rainbow is a pennant punch that I stretched. It was fun.

MDS Page A Day May 12

This may look like a simple page, and it is, but it took me forever to complete. The pictures were taken with my phone so they aren't the best quality and the colors were so bright and competing with each other, that I finally made them black and white and it worked much better. In the end, I'm really happy with this page. This is another layout inspired by Heather Summers. Here is the link to her blog, http://stampwithheather.typepad.com so you can find more information about her online classes.

MDS Page A Day May 11

This page is also kind of a cheat. This layout comes with the On The Go download. I just found some cute pictures and plugged them in, and I'm done.

MDS Page a Day May 10

Okay, so it may be cheating a little bit, okay a lot bit; yes this is almost the same page as yesterday. That is the great thing about digital scrapbooking. I can change a picture, a few words, anything I want and I've got another page done for another child's scrapbook.

MDS Page A Day May 9

This page uses one of my favorite downloads, "On the Go." It's hard to find cute stuff for boys, so when I find something, I have to get it. This layout again comes from Heather Summer's online class.

MDS Page A Day May 8

This will be the first page in our family album. These are my two favorite pictures from our engagement shoot.  It's a simple page, but that leaves the focus on the pictures.

MDS Page a Day May 7

I love all these random pictures of #2, especially of his crazy hair. And by making all the pictures black and white, I didn't have to worry about competing colors.

MDS Page A Day May 6

While this looks an awful lot like my boy #3, it's actually boy #2.  Enjoy!

MDS Page a Day May 5

I don't have a lot of pictures from our first Christmas, so I like this layout. And all the embellishments.  And blogger is doing something weird, so I don't know.

MDS Page a Day May 4

I have a bunch of pages that just need a few finishing touches, so hopefully I'll be able to get them posted soon. This is one side of a two page layout, haven't gotten to the other side yet.

I loved doing this page of J when he was born.  Once again another layout inspired by Heather Summers.

MDS Page A Day May 2

Another layout from Heather Summer's class. Colors are Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler, and Wisteria Wonder.

MDS Page a Day May 1

Here we are in May again, National Scrapbooking Month, and I am once again going to try to post a page a day.  All of these pages will be done using My Digital Studio, a program by Stampin' Up!  I love it, and if any of my pages spark your interest in the program, let me know.  There is a free 30-day trial version and I'm happy to provide in home training on using the program.

This layout was created for an online class I am taking from Heather Summers, who is like the queen of MDS. If you are interested in the class you can click here to find more information. I love this color combo, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, Early Espresso, and a little Yellow. So that's my page for today, click on the picture to see it bigger.
