Finishing 4-H

So I wanted to finish up posting the projects we made in my 4-H club last year. I actually miss doing it, I had a ton of fun with those girls, but since you're not technically supposed to bring kids, there was no way I could sneak two kids in.

Anyway, this layout came from this card came from this blog.

And I found this one on Splitcoaststampers.com, but I can't find it now, oh, well, it's been more than a year. I really love this card. I brought all my ink and paper and the girls could pick whatever color combination they wanted. They came up with some awesome cards.
This card idea was found here. We ran the card through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. Then ran brown ink over the top of the dots. The flower is made by punching a scallop circle and cutting two lines and folding it over.
These are so cute. The school 4-H group has a theme and ours was a barrel of monkeys. Our community project was to assemble comfort bags that fire departments and police can give to kids in crisis. So we made these cute tags to go in the bags. I saw the idea here.
So I think that's about all for 4-H projects, but if I find more, I'll post them.

Catch-up

Still trying to get caught up. I made a few of these cards for mother's day last year. It's a shadow box. It is a ton of work to make, but really fun.

And this is a birthday card I made last year. It's pretty self explanatory. Some paper and a flower and brad.

I'm Back

Yes, I finally feel like I can devote some time to this blog again. Between the exhaustion of pregnancy, the stress of selling a house and moving into a new one, and then having a newborn, something had to give and this was it. But one of my goals for this year is to post on this blog at least once a week.

So for my first post back I want to share some Ghirardelli boxes that I made for Christmas. I found the tutorial here, and a couple of other examples here. Each box holds 3 Ghirardelli chocolate squares. I made 9 of these total, 7 Christmas ones for my sons teachers, and other people at church...

and then a birthday one for my neighbor and a thank you for another neighbor.
They're really easy and pretty fun to make.

Valentines in March

I've been really bad at posting so I have a few to catch up on. Hope you don't mind a few Valentine's projects we did in my 4-H club.

The snowflake pop-up is one I made at my Stamp Club in January and then I just changed it up for Valentines Day.
The pop-ups are just a circle that you cut into a spiral. It's super easy and the girls thought it was way fun.

The next one is an idea I saw here but had to simplify it for the ability level and product availability. I really like the way it turned out.

Thanks for re-visiting Valentines with me in an attempt to catch up.

Another Valentine

I saw this card and I had to CASE (copy and share everything) it. You can click on the picture to make it bigger. I was looking for a card that we could do in 4-H. This is a little too complicated for them, but super stinkin' cute. I love it, I made two. The little heart on the side is glitterified.
Stamps: A Happy Heart
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss (I think)

Swap Valentine

This is my card for the card swap in January. The instructions were to use bling. I cased the idea from this blog.

I cut out the red heart with my cricut and then painted it with Shimmerz paint. I stamped the heart, cut it out and then added rhinestones to the center of the flowers. Oh, and the white is embossed with the swissdots Cuttlebug folder.

Kids Valentines

These are the other things we did this week in 4-H. The club is really big into service, so the girls made one Valentine to take home and one that I sent to the Cards for Kids program which you can read more about 2 posts down.

I wanted to do something kid friendly so I chose the bug images from the SU set Bugs & Kisses. The girls did a really cute job.
