Successful Challenge

I have wanted to make this card for a while and then two challenges were posted in blogland that this card would qualify for, so I sat down and made it.
First it was for a sketch challenge. You can see the sketch here.

Second, it was a RAK challenge to use ribbon. For these challenges you need to post who you are sending it to and why. This card is going to my brother. He's been applying to law schools and was very nervous about where he would get accepted. He really underestimated his ability and only applied to 3 of his top choice and then a bunch of safety schools. Well, he got accepted to one of his top choice schools and was so excited that he decided to apply to 3 more that he thought were completely out of reach. I'll be he gets accepted to at least one of those schools. Anyway, long story short, I just wanted him to know how proud of him and his accomplishments we are.

On a crafters note, it's really hard to make a manly card. I refuse to use flowers and most of my embellishments are really girly. I'll have to look into remedying (is that a word?) that situation.

Recipe:
CS, DP and ribbon from my stash
Ink: Ruby Red (SU!)
Cuttlebug folder
Stamp: Full of Life (SU!)
